Leah Stumpf
About
Leah Stumpf is currently a full time fitness and jiu jitsu coach at Straight Blast Gym of Montana. She was inspired to begin traditional martial arts by her mother as a senior in high school. She earned a black belt in Tatsu do karate in 2004.
Before making the decision to pursue a full time career in martial arts, Leah was a science educator in both outdoor and classroom settings for 12 years.
As she traveled for work, education, and adventure Leah was also searching far and wide for a functional martial arts academy. She found Straight Blast Gym and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to be a perfect fit. The technique is tested every day on the mat and continues to evolve. She is now a jiu jitsu black belt under Matt Thornton and Travis Davison of Straight Blast Gym.
Since beginning to coach full time at SBG Montana, Leah has created age specific curriculum in martial arts for the kids program throughout the world. She has also started a women's jiu jitsu team at her home gym and assisted other gyms throughout the country in building and implementing a program of their own.
Leah hopes to use her background in teaching and martial arts to help students of all ages to become the strongest version of themselves.
